What Does Hot Springs County Mean to you? Say it with a photo!
To kick off Tourism Week, Hot Springs County Travel & Tourism is hosting a photo scavenger hunt on our Facebook Page. Grab your camera and your family to take a drive around the County. You will have a chance to win $50 in Chamber Bucks. Six winners – one from each category.
We invite everyone – show us with your best photo what Hot Springs County means to you! Both new and previously taken photographs welcome! You may enter all six categories or just one for a chance to win. Be sure to mention in the comments which category you are entering.
It is free to enter – the main rule is to have fun and showcase Hot Springs County. You have two weeks to submit your best work. Deadline: May 17th
The categories are as follows with a few suggested shots to get your creative ideas flowing. Remember – this is your interpretation of what Hot Springs County means to you!
#1 – Two Rivers in One – Wedding of the Waters, Big Horn River, Wind River, Wind River Canyon, Rafting, Floating, Fishing
#2 – Where the Buffalo Roam – Bison, Snyder’s Point, Green-Eyed Monster, Old Car Bones, Monument Hill – you get the idea!
#3 – Get out and Play – Swinging Bridge, Walk the terraces, make some music at the Children’s Play Area, play frisbee golf, take a hike, Legend Rock, the back country of Hot Springs County
#4 – Our History is a Little Wild – At the Historical Museum – we are bigger than life, Veteran’s Memorial, Historical Downtown, 1920’s Schoolhouse, Caboose, Hole-in-the-Wall Bar.
#5 – The Prehistoric Age – Dinosaurs from Around Town, Wyoming Dinosaur Center, Fossils, Wind River Canyon Geology
#6 – Round Top – A County park donated by the former Governor – walk to the top for a scenic view of Thermopolis or showcase Round Top from afar.
