We are pleased to announce the first annual Thermopolis Big Horn River Fly Fishing Derby fundraiser event. This year it will be held the weekend of October 12th and 13th. The event is limited to eight two person teams and they will be given out on a first come first serve basis. Entry fee per team is $1,200 which includes two days of wonderful fishing, a boat, an experienced guide, meals, lodging, and our awards banquet featuring the Fly Fishing Film Tour. All proceeds will go back to the Big Horn River to preserve it and the fishery. The Big Horn River running through Thermopolis, Wyoming is a Blue Ribbon Trout fishery. From its origin in the upper section, it is known as the Wind River until it reaches a point called “The Wedding of the Waters.” The waters below that point are referred to as the Big Horn River.
The first two place teams will receive special made plaques create by a local artist. A copy of the official rules has been enclosed for your convenience as well.
