3 on 3 BasketballMay 3 and 4 are the dates for the 2008 3 on 3 Basketball HOOP IT UP tournament. Contact the Chamber for up to date information. This May event attracts over 300 teams to Thermopolis for the annual 3 on 3 Roundball Tournament. It starts with a party on Friday night and has competitions held on Saturday and Sunday. Winners advance to Regional finals. |  |
 | Demolition Derby Demolition DerbyAugust 16, 2008The Derby is held each August and has a Grand Prize of $2000. The prize money is the highest paid in Wyoming and several other near by states. Five or more places are paid as well as heat money and stake money. |
Father's Day Car ShowJune 14th and 15th 2008 This is held each June on Father's Day. It attracts cars and motorcycles from several states. It is held in Hot Springs State Park on the grass. There are Trophies for several categories as well as door prizes. |  |
Outlaw Trail Ride
The Annual Outlaw Trail Ride (OTR) is a week long event that starts at the end of July. There are over 100 riders on the 7 day trip that covers 100 miles. It start at the Old Hole in the Wall hideout.
Scarecrow Fest
This annual event is held in the Fall and is a competition for prizes. There are prizes for Artwork & Drawings as well the best Scarecrow.
Gift of the Waters Pageant
The "Gift of the Waters" Pageant is held each August. This is an Indian Ceremony reenacting the Hot Springs being given to Wyoming. It is a two day event held in Hot Springs State Park. There are lots of booths with merchandise for sale, etc.
Big Horn Basin Antique & Bottle Show & Sale
The Big Horn Basin Antique and Bottle Show and sale is held September 13th and 14th 2008 in Thermopolis, WY. at the Armory (north edge of town). Saturday, Sept. 13th 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14th, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tables: $20 for a six foot (6') table, $15 for three foot (3') table.
