| Dancing Bear is a folk arts activity center where visitors can even try their hand at spinning thread, weaving on a rug or quilting on a quilt. The Quilting Bee Textile Studio is a working studio with looms, spinning wheels & equipment, quilting frames, a knitting corner and needlearts corner. There's usually something going on -- and guides can relate how kids (even boys and men!) were involved with such family activities. |
The GalleryThis area is reserved for traveling shows which range from historical to crafts, such as quilt shows, textiles and historical photography. The entry features a Quilt Block Wall with regional quilt block designs from all areas and frontier times as well as textile displays. |

| The Teddy Bear DenWhether you're a kid who likes teddy bears or a sophisticated collector, you'll be amazed at The Teddy Bear Den! The continually growing collection of soft-sculpture work features bear artists from around the world. The bears are set in historic, geographic and just-plain-fun scenes. Interpretive materials range from a history of teddy bears to explanations of early-day printing & children's art to how Theodore Roosevelt gave his name to teddy bears. The displays change frequently, and the bears love to find excuses to celebrate. |
The Train Depot Model trains and layouts -- farm toys -- and handmade Western miniatures and toys! |
